BRITISH WW2 . 2nd PATTERN COMMANDO KNIFE Good Clean example of a 2nd pattern fairbairn Sykes commando knife. Brass hilt with chequered grip section. Plain, oval crossguard and 7 inch double edged blade. In it's brown leather scabbard with integral belt frog, sew on tabs on the rear and a brown elastic hilt retianer strap. Overall in very good, clean condition but with no blued finish remaining. Condition: 8++

GREEK ( GERMAN MADE) SWORD BAYONET. RARE EXAMPLE of a German made brass hilted bayonet for the GREEK MYLONAS RIFLE. Brass hilt with ribbed grip section, small muzzle catch button & leaf spring. Steel guard with hooked quillon & screw bolt on muzzle ring. 22.5 inch recurved blade stamped with ALCOSO trade mark - AC and scales at one ricasso and M on the other. In brass mounted, black leather scabbard with oval frog stud. Minor wear to hilt, minor pitting to blade ( mostly darkened patches). Stitched seam of scabbard has been neatly glued . Am not sure where this was used but it has been suggested that it is either BAVARIAN or for issue on the Beaumanot Rifle used by the Netherlands. Condition: 8

GERMAN. WW1 M84/98 BAYONET - SAW BACK - MG KOMPANIE Very Good example of a Seitengewehr 2nd model M84/98 Bayonet with saw back edge. Wooden grips, short beaked pommel with muzzle release button. Short guard with no muzzle ring. 10 inch single edged fullered blade with SAW BACKED EDGE stamped at ricasso with maker's name F KOELLER & Co. OHLIGS SOLINGEN. Back edge with acceptance mark. Steel scabbard with black pianted finish. Bayonet in very good clean condition with blued pommel and polished blade. Scabbard with worn finish to paint on rear surface. (Watts and White 286) NOTE: These bayonets were originally intended for MACHINE GUN COMPANIES and this is confirmed by the regimental marking on the crossguard 3.E.M.GK.530. Condition: 8+

Rear of blade with military markings :Imperial Crown W 16 and acceptance marks. Maker's name WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G OBERNDORF a.N. In steel scabbard with some blued finish remaining, small dents towards the tip. Overall in good clean condition. Minor blemishes to blade surface. (Watts and White Ref 270). Condition: 8

GERMAN. WW1 M1898/05 BAYONET Second model bayonet with flash guard on rear of hilt. Striped wooden grips. 37cm blade with military markings, Crown W 17 and acceptance mark. Maker's name P D LUNESCHLOSS SOLINGEN on ricasso. In steel scabbard wirh much of original blued finish. .Overall in EXCELLENT condition with polished blade and original blued finish to the pommel. Fitted with excellent original brown leather frog with Stuttgart maker's name and date 1916 impressed into the leather also ink stamped with regimental mark B.A.VII 1918P. (Watts and White 267) Condition: 8+++

Overall in good clean condition and an unusual maker's name which is not erased but I find difficult to decipher . Any help appreciated ! Condition: 8

AUSTRALIAN. WW1 P1907 SMLE BAYONET Excellent example of an Australian made P1907 bayonet for the SMLE rifle. Wooden grips, 16 inch blade and steel mounted leather scabbard .Top of blade stamped with various ordnance marks, 1910 ( could be 1916 but last difit is not clearly stamped) and LITHGOW maker's mark. on other side L (LITHGOW) in a small shield. Crossguard stamped D /I D. Retains most of the original blued finish to the pommel and original polish to the blade. Scabbard stitching is split for entire length of seam. Condition: 8
